How to download Instagram Reels audio as MP3

Paste a public Reel link below to grab its sound — or follow the four steps first.

The four steps

01

Open the Reel

Find the Reel whose sound you want in the Instagram app or on instagram.com.

02

Copy its link

Tap the share icon → Copy link. An instagram.com/reel/... URL is what you need.

03

Paste it into SnapGrab

Drop the link in the box above and press Download. The available files appear within seconds.

04

Pick the MP3 option

Choose the audio download and the MP3 saves straight to your phone or computer.

Original audio vs. licensed library songs

Reels come with two kinds of sound. When a creator records or uploads their own audio, it exists as a separate track and SnapGrab can list it as an MP3 download. When the creator picks a song from Instagram's licensed music library, that song is mixed into the video itself — no downloader can pull it out as a clean file, so the best you can do is save the full video.

Quick check inside Instagram: open the Reel and look at the bottom. If you see a song title with an artist name, it's a licensed track. If you see "Original audio" with the creator's username, it's a separate track and an MP3 option will appear in SnapGrab.

Where the MP3 saves on each device

Android: the file lands in Internal storage → Download and plays in any music player.

iPhone: open Files → Downloads, then use the share icon to send it to your music or ringtone app of choice.

Windows / Mac: the MP3 goes to your browser's Downloads folder.

If no audio option appears

Licensed song: the sound is mixed into the video — save the video instead.
Private account: Reels from private profiles cannot be fetched.
Wrong link: use the share icon → Copy link inside Instagram rather than typing the URL by hand.

FAQ

How do I download the audio from an Instagram Reel?

Copy the Reel link from the Instagram share menu, paste it into the box above and press Download. When the post carries a separate audio track, an MP3 option appears next to the video — choose it to save just the sound.

Can I save Reels audio as MP3 on iPhone?

Yes. The MP3 lands in Files → Downloads. From there you can share it to any music app, or use the share icon to move it into your library.

What if the Reel uses a licensed song from Instagram's library?

Songs added from Instagram's licensed music library are attached to the video itself. In that case save the full video and extract the audio locally if you need it.

Is the audio saved in original quality?

Yes — you get the same audio track Instagram serves, with no re-encoding or trimming by SnapGrab.

Does it work for private accounts?

No. Only Reels from public accounts can be fetched.
