This policy explains what information SnapGrab ("we", "us") collects when you visit snapgrab.space, why we collect it and what control you have over it. By using the site you agree to this policy.

Information you give us

SnapGrab does not require an account. We never ask for your name, date of birth, payment details, or your Instagram, Facebook, YouTube or TikTok login. The only thing you actively give us is the public post link you paste into the downloader, plus anything you choose to write to us by email.

Links you submit

A submitted link is used only to fetch the media for that single request. We do not attach it to your identity and we do not publish a browsable archive of the links people paste. We may keep short-lived technical logs of failed requests so we can repair broken extractors; those logs are deleted on a rolling basis.

Downloaded files

Media is streamed from the source platform through to your device. We do not keep copies of the videos or images you download, and we do not scan or reuse their contents.

Information collected automatically

Like most websites, our servers and hosting provider record standard request data such as IP address, browser type, device type, referring page, and the time of the request. This is used for security, abuse prevention and aggregate traffic measurement, not to profile individual visitors.

Cookies

SnapGrab itself does not use cookies to track you across sites and does not require cookies for the downloader to work. Cookies may be set by third-party services described below, for example advertising and analytics providers. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings at any time; the downloader will keep working.

Advertising

We may display advertising to keep SnapGrab free, including through Google AdSense. Third-party vendors, including Google, use cookies to serve ads based on a user's prior visits to this or other websites. Google's use of advertising cookies enables it and its partners to serve ads to you based on your visit to our site and/or other sites on the internet.

You may opt out of personalised advertising by visiting Google Ads Settings. You can also opt out of third-party vendor cookies at aboutads.info/choices. Where required by law, users in the European Economic Area, the UK and Switzerland are asked for consent before personalised advertising cookies are set.

Analytics

We may use privacy-respecting, aggregated analytics to understand how many people use each tool and where errors happen. These reports show totals and trends, not identifiable individuals.

Third parties we rely on

To deliver the service we send requests to the original platforms (Instagram, Facebook, YouTube, TikTok) and to a third-party media-extraction API provider. Our site is served by a cloud hosting provider. These parties receive the technical details needed to answer the request and handle that data under their own privacy terms.

Children

SnapGrab is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from them.

Your rights

Because we do not maintain user accounts, we hold very little that identifies you. If you believe we hold personal data about you and want it accessed, corrected or deleted, email us and we will respond within 30 days.

Security

The site is served over HTTPS and requests to source platforms are made server-side. No method of transmission over the internet is completely secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

Changes to this policy

We may update this policy as the service or the law changes. The date at the top of this page always shows the current version.
